Harold J. Blessing was probably related (as a second cousin, perhaps) to descendants of Martin J. Blessing, who married Elizabeth, a daughter of John McKown, and owned the Three Hills Farm on what is now Russell Road, but in the 19th century known as Blessing road, and located in McKownville until the annexation by the City of Albany in 1916.
